You Words with Friends fans will appreciate the tournament that Jr/Sr High has going on. We've got 19 students and teachers working toward a $15 iTunes gift card as a grand prize.

One of the rules is that you know the word you play; whether you know it before you play or learn it as you play is fine.

At the school board meeting tonight we started making plans for the 2012-2013 school year. Can you believe it? It's already time to re-enroll for next year? We will start handing out info soon so keep an eye out.

The RCS Character Trait of the Month is Confident. Phil 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Don't forget HOP day is tomorrow. Bring $5 so you can wear jeans and your favorite Christian T-shirt or if you have a new Hot Hearts shirt.

Update on Mrs Sue Sanders: surgery went well, in recovery. Keep praying she's in a lot of pain, which was to be expected.

Update on Pastor Guidry: he's been at home since Tuesday night but in a great deal of pain. Please continue to pray.

Thought I would pass along an update on Pastor Guidry. Many of you know that he was having surgery today on his shoulder. He’s come through surgery with flying colors and is in recovery. Still mostly asleep but seems to be doing well. I know he appreciates all your prayers.

I was talking to one of our current parents the other day, they were telling me about one of our students who transferred from RCS to another Christian school. As with most schools the student was asked to take an entrance exam. When the results of the exam came back the schools administration decided to place the student in the next grade up.

I don’t know of a better way to say, “Great Job!” Great job, to the student! Great job, to the teacher! Great job, to the entire process! RCS may not be the biggest Christian Educator in Southeast Texas and we are certainly not perfect but this is just one more confirmation that we are on the right track. And even as I say that it’s not enough, for another school to recognize that our student, who has been with us for several years, is advanced. “Wow! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!”
